''There is nothing I can do to bring my beloved 13 back to life, but I can make sure they didn’t die in vain'
Frank DeAngelis could not have seen what was coming on a sunny spring day in 1999.
“I loved what I was doing,” the former principal of Columbine High School told a Sudbury audience on Monday. “Ninety-four per cent of our kids graduated on time; we had the lowest dropout rate in the state of Colorado. It was fantastic, and I said: ‘How lucky am I to spend 20 years at this beautiful place?’ ”
